The English-language version of this document is the official, legally binding version. Any translation is provided for convenience only; in the event of a discrepancy between the English version and a translation, the English version prevails.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Tryggo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

2. Service Description

Tryggo is a household emergency preparedness tracking application. It helps you inventory essential supplies, track expiration dates, receive personalized recommendations based on your household profile, and access first aid guidelines and emergency information.

Important disclaimer: Tryggo is an organizational and informational tool only. It does not provide professional emergency management advice, medical guidance, certified first aid instruction, or safety recommendations. First aid content displayed in the app is for general informational and educational purposes only and is not a substitute for hands-on training from a qualified instructor. Always follow official guidance from your local authorities and emergency services.

The app may request access to your device's location to show emergency information relevant to your current country. Location access is optional and can be denied without affecting core functionality.

The app may display links to third-party websites, including national Red Cross and Red Crescent societies. These links are provided for your convenience; Tryggo does not control and is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of any third-party website.

3. First Aid & Emergency Information Disclaimer

Tryggo includes first aid guidelines and emergency reference cards. This content is provided for informational and educational purposes only and must not be treated as a substitute for professional first aid training, medical advice, or certification.

• Users are strongly advised to complete an accredited first aid course from a recognized provider (e.g., the Red Cross, Red Crescent, or equivalent national organization) before attempting any first aid procedure.
• First aid information in the app may not reflect the latest medical guidelines or be applicable to every situation. Always assess the scene and call emergency services when in doubt.
• Tryggo accepts no responsibility or liability for any injury, harm, adverse outcome, or loss resulting — directly or indirectly — from the use, misuse, or interpretation of first aid or emergency information presented in the app.
• By using the first aid features, you acknowledge that you do so entirely at your own risk.

4. Hazard Alerts Disclaimer

Tryggo surfaces earthquake, tsunami, severe-weather, and wildfire alerts sourced from public agencies and data providers (USGS, EMSC, NOAA, NWS, MeteoAlarm, the Japan Meteorological Agency, Environment and Climate Change Canada, NASA FIRMS, OpenWeather, and others). This information is provided for situational awareness only and must not be relied upon as the sole basis for emergency decisions.

• Alerts are aggregated from third-party feeds and may be subject to delays, false positives, missed events, or service outages outside our control. Always defer to official local emergency authorities and broadcast warnings.
• Coverage varies by hazard type and region. Some countries have no public alert feed available, in which case the relevant icon will simply remain inactive — the absence of an alert in the app does not mean no hazard exists.
• The app's "All clear" or greyed status indicators reflect the absence of incoming alerts in our system; they do not constitute an "all clear" signal from any emergency authority.
• Tryggo accepts no responsibility or liability for any injury, harm, property damage, or loss resulting — directly or indirectly — from the timing, accuracy, completeness, or interpretation of hazard alerts displayed in the app.
• For life-threatening situations, contact your local emergency services and follow official evacuation, shelter, and safety guidance.

5. License Grant

Tryggo grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Tryggo progressive web application (PWA) for your personal, non-commercial use. This includes installing the application on your devices through your web browser.

6. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use Tryggo.

7. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Providing accurate information in your profile and inventory.
• Notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to access other users' data or accounts.
• Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application.
• Copy, modify, or distribute the application or its content.
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels.
• Use the application for any commercial purpose without written consent.
• Sublicense, lease, or lend the application to any third party.
• Use automated tools to scrape or access the service beyond normal use.

9. Intellectual Property

Tryggo and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Tryggo and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you upload (such as item images).

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep Tryggo available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service unavailability.

11. Automatic Updates

As a progressive web application, Tryggo may be updated automatically. Continued use of the application following updates constitutes acceptance of any changes.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be available uninterrupted, error-free, or maintained indefinitely. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service — in whole or in part — at any time without prior notice or liability.

First aid guidelines, emergency reference cards, and any related content are provided without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. They may contain errors or become outdated. You should independently verify any information before relying on it.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tryggo and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. This includes, but is not limited to, any reliance on preparedness recommendations or first aid information provided by the application, and any injury, harm, or adverse outcome resulting from applying or failing to apply such information.

14. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Norwegian courts.
